This is a reverse die trial in white metal struck outside the mint from a die sold as scrap from. According to Sheridan Downey, Henry Hilgard and Chuck Link, it is 1820 reverse A which was used on the 1820/19 Overton 101. It is believed to be unique and is ex Parsons (H. Chapman 1914) lot 347, Brand (journal id #75393), New Netherlands 9/53, 87 ANA, C.E. Meyer, Chuck Link. It has not yet been decided whether or not to move this to JA1820-2. Photo courtesy of PCGS.
