This is an incomplete obverse die trial, in white metal, for the 1864 small motto design used on J366/P433. It is missing the date and dentilation. It is believed unique and was part of the materials purchased by the Library Company of Philadelphia from Maxwell Whiteman. It is listed as inventory #2.
