This is a finished reverse die trial, in white metal, of a Heraldic eagle. According to Pollock, it was made by Anthony C. Paquet for Dr. J.T. Barclay on July 6, 1857.
It exists as both die struck and cast varieties. Supposedly 5 are known according to Judd. We can trace the following 4. To see images of all of these, click here.

4) Judd, Kosoff-B/M 11/85 lot 1155, B/M 9/93, Heritage 8/95 ANA, StacksBowers 4/16 - cast, the original Judd plate coin
