This is the 1840 obverse hub trial, in white metal, with C. Gobrecht F below the base. It is similar to the famous 1836 name below base pattern J58/P61. It is believed unique and was part of the materials purchased by the Library Company of Philadelphia from Maxwell Whiteman. It is listed as inventory #24.
