Copper J668 This is unlisted in Pollock. If any do exist, they are probably masquerading as a regular issue proof.

Copper-Nickel J669/P745 with fewer than a half dozen known. These are likely mint errors.

1) Kessler-Spangenberger-NASCA 4/81, Unc60, spotty but planchet appears to be perfect.

2) Melnick 11/82 as J670, Superior 5/06, Simpson-Heritage 2/21 - PCGS Unc64 with fissures on the edge

3) Lahrman-Kosoff 2/63, Paramount 11/74, Superior 2/87, Heritage 8/97 ANA - PCGS Unc63 with fissures on the edge but in different locations from coin #2

One of these last 2 is ex Brenner-1914 ANS, Brand as rude planchet, and the other is Newcomer described as very rudely struck-Morgenthau's 5/35 sale as struck without collar. One of these is ex Stacks 6/86. One of these, possibly #1, is ex Lohr as there is no mention of any issue in the Lohr FPL.

4) Col Green, Kosoff 8/58 ANA, Numismatics Ltd Spring 1983 FPL, Heritage 1/10 FUN, B/M 3/10 - PCGS Unc60, doublestruck with the second strike 95% off-center, implying the use of a feeder mechanism in striking of them. To view this piece, click,

Nickel J670/P746 with only 3 or 4 believed to exist including:

1) GreatCollections.com 10/21/12 - PCGS64

2) Superior 2/91 - proof 63

3) Kagins 8/77 ANA, Kagins 7/79, Ivy 8/80 ANA, Heritage 10/86 - Unc, spotty

One of these is ex Brenner-1914 ANS, Brand and another is ex Newcomer. One of these is ex Lohr.

Aluminum J671/P747 with fewer than half a dozen examples believed to exist. These were deliberately struck for sale to collectors as part of complete off-metal sets. The following are believed to be different.

1) Newman, EPNNES-Heritage 4/13 - NGC68

2) Lauder-Doyle Galleries 12/83 - PCGS66

3) Heritage 2/91 as PCGS64, Heritage 8/98 ANA as PCGS64, Heritage 7/03 as PCGS64, Simpson-Heritage 1/21 as PCGS64 - PCGS65 with a scratch under the 2nd T in STATES and another in front of Liberty's face

4) NERCA 7/79 ANA, B/M 9/84, B/M 3/89 - proof 65

Brand owned 2 of these, one as part of a complete 1869 aluminum set and the other ex Brenner-1914 ANS and another is ex Newcomer
