This is a metallurgical trial struck in oroide. The coin was originally believed to be copper-nickel but metallurgical analysis has determined it to be 80% copper, 16% tin and 4% silver per Pollock.

Only one is known and is ex Crosby, Doughty, Woodin, Brenner-1914 ANS, Brand (journal #92500:192), (B.G. Johnson 2/3/45 invoice to J. Kelly), Boyd, Farouk, Randall, Norweb, R. Tettenhorst-Goldberg 1/14, Simpson-Heritage 1/21 - PCGS63BN and weighs 83.4 grains per Pollock. The Norweb description described the planchet as being striated.
