The Barber design in silver combined with the standing eagle holding a shield. The '8' in the date is over a '1' caused by the date being initially started too far to the right.
The illustrated piece is unique and is ex Cogan in 1883, Garrett-JHU, Garrett I, 87 ANA, Superior 10/89, D. Novoselsky as PCGS64, Kagins, Superior 7/03 as NGC65, Simpson-Heritage 1/21 - PCGS65
This design was also struck in copper J1534/P1702 with only 2 examples confirmed.
