George T. Morgan's famous Liberty Head design previously believed to have been modeled after Anna Williams. Although listed first in Pollock, this is actually the second die. The reverse, showing a 7 sided shield was in the works by February 1877 when Morgan sent pencil sketches to Mint director Henry Linderman.
