Although described as regular dies trial pieces, these were actually deliberately struck for sale to collectors as part of complete off-metal sets.
Only a single example, ex NASCA 7/80, Simpson-Heritage 9/20, Bourne, is confirmed and is illustrated above.
Editor's note: Mr Bourne had this coin analyzed and it came back as a regular 75% copper, 25% nickel business strike. It should be delisted.
