The 1839 Gobrecht dollar struck in copper with plain edge. The listing of this in copper with a reeded edge J106/P118 has been discredited.



It is a fantasy restrike deliberately made for sale to collectors in the late 1860s to mid 1870s and were struck in die alignment III. Die characteristics are included in the image below.
