There are die trials known from cancelled dies which do not fit the true definition of a splasher. It is likely that many of these were struck outside the mint from discarded dies at a later date. We list them to make collectors aware of their existence and leave it up to the collecting fraternity to decide whether these belong in the pattern series or not. They are sorted by denomination and date.
