This is a metallurgical trial struck in oroide. The coin was originally believed to be copper-nickel but metallurgical analysis has determined it to be 80% copper, 16% tin and 4% silver per Pollock.
Only one is known and is ex Crosby, Doughty, Woodin-1914 ANS, Newcomer, Boyd, Farouk, Randall, Norweb, R. Tettenhorst and weighs 83.4 grains per Pollock. The Norweb description described the planchet as being striated.
