This is one of the designs that was sold by the mint in 6 piece sets for $30. The sets were made in silver with both plain and reeded edges, copper and aluminum.
This particular design exists in the following formats:
J1293/P1435 in silver with reeded edge.
J1294/P1436 in silver with plain edge. About half a dozen are known.
J1295/P1437 in copper with reeded edge. About 10 are known.
J1297/P1439 in aluminum with reeded edge. The only one traceable is the former Farouk example.
J1298/P1440 in white metal with plain edge. Only 2 are known, the corroded Farouk, Hydeman example and the other ex Stacks Anderson-Dupont sale. One of these was offered in the Heritage 1/2002 sale, the other is in a Wyoming collection.
Judd and Pollock list a copper example with plain edge J1296/P1438. The existence of this coin is unconfirmed and not likely.
